Net Metering is a renewable energy incentive policy that allows consumers to receive credit from the utility company for the renewable energy generated by their system. Maple Point homeowners will benefit from Net Metering by receiving a credit to their electricity bill based on the amount of clean, solar electricity that is generated. Two electricity meters on the exterior of the home monitor both the energy being used and the energy being generated by the solar panels.
